Two sexual assault suspects have been arrested, ending a daylong drama that involved multiple alerts from Ferris State University regarding the situation.
Sexual assault suspects Doug Robinson and Patrick Kettner were arrested according to a Ferris Emergency Alert that was sent out at 5:42 p.m.
Ferris news services and social media manager Sandy Gholston confirmed that neither Robinson or Kettner were currently affiliated with Ferris State in any way.
The sexual assault was reported to the Mecosta County Sheriff’s department, and was reported to have happened on the night of May 24 or morning of May 25 according to Gholston.
The emergency message also included information about Patrick Kettner, another suspect in the same sexual assault.
Kettner is an 18 year old male and has no known connection to Ferris. mLive reported that a friend of Kettner drove him to Grand Rapids to take a flight to Chicago. Police then learned that Kettner booked an international flight, and may be in Guam.
At 6:51 p.m., Gholston indicated that Kettner is now in custody. There is no indication currently as to where Kettner was brought into custody.

At 2:13 p.m., Ferris State sent an emergency message to students notifying them of a sexual assault suspect at large.
The message listed the suspect as “Doug Robinson, black male, 19 [Years old], 6’1.”
The message also instructed all Big Rapids residents to lock their doors and call 911 if they come into contact or spot Robinson.
