Pellet gun sends subject to county jail

A round-up of this week’s crime across the FSU campus

Felonious assault

On April 26 at 11:45 p.m., officers received information of a subject pointing a gun out of a vehicle on Ferris Drive. The suspect’s vehicle was located and one subject was lodged in the county jail for felonious assault. The gun was determined to be a pellet gun.

Car-pedestrian accident

On April 26 at 11:10 p.m., officers assisted city police with a car-pedestrian accident in front of Wendy’s.

Fight on State Street

On April 27 at 2:20 a.m., officers assisted city police with a large fight at corner Chestnut and State Street.

Bottle bomb explosion

On April 21 at 10:15 p.m., there was a report of a bottle bomb exploding near Lot 61. The suspect was identified and there was a warrant requested at the prosecutor office.

Subject refused to leave Shooter

On April 23 at 2:35 a.m., officers assisted the city police at Shooters Bar at Michigan Avenue concerning the subject refusing to leave the bar. The case was turned over to the city.

Trespassing at UPS

On April 27 at 1:40 a.m., officers assisted the sheriffs department at UPS with a trespassing complaint. One subject was ticketed for an MIP.

Disorderly subjects in Hemlock Park

On April 17 at 4:20 p.m., officers assisted city police with disorderly subjects in Hemlock Park.

Harassment complaint

On April 27 at 8:50 p.m., there was a report of a harassment complaint at the West Campus Apartments.

Improper decal

On April 25 at 9 a.m., officers investigated an altered parking detail in Lot 5. The person was ticketed for improper decal.

Disorderly person in Merrill

On April 27 at 2:55 a.m., officers investigated a disorderly person in Merrill hall. One subject was lodged in county jail for disorderly conduct.

Defective equipment

On April 24 at 12:20 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on State Street at Perry Street for defective equipment. The driver was found to be intoxicated and lodged in the county jail for operating while intoxicated.

Harassment complaint in West Campus Apartments

On April 22 at 11:30 a.m., there was a report of a harassment complaint in the West Campus Apartments.

Two-car accident

On April 21 at 10 a.m., there was a report of a two-car accident in Lot 5.

Subject refused to leave business

On April 19 at 4:20 a.m., officers assisted the sheriffs department at Northland Drive and 19 Mile Road for a subject refusing to leave a business. The suspect was located and transported to his residence.

Marijuana in Mcnerney

On April 18 at 4:50 p.m., there was a report of marijuana complaint Mcnerney hall. The suspect was identified and referred to the office of student conduct.

Marijuana complaint in Henderson

The April 23 5:25 p.m., there was a report of a marijuana complaint in Henderson hall. One subject was lodged in the county jail for possession of marijuana.

Ticket Totals

From April 17 through April 27, the Department of Public Safety reported 370 violations. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $6,270. The actual amount depends on if the ticket was paid, voided or reduced.
