Amy Dunleavy turned in a couple solid outings offensively for the Bulldogs in their Thursday and Saturday double-headers against Ohio-Dominican and Tiffin, respectively.

Dunleavy helped Ferris take two of four games last week as the Bulldogs split both contests. After striking out twice and failing to reach base in the 5-0 loss to Ohio-Dominican in game one, Dunleavy came back in game two with two hits, including an RBI-scoring double to help lift Ferris to a 3-2 win.

Dunleavy was once again held hitless with one walk in Ferris’ first game loss (7-2) against Tiffin on Saturday but once again showed her resilience in game two. Trailing 2-0 in the sixth inning, Dunleavy jumped on the first pitch following a pitching change and sent it over the fence in center field to put three points on the scoreboard. The Bulldogs closed the game out and won 3-2, with all three runs coming on Dunleavy’s big fly.

Dunleavy finished the week with four hits, including one homerun, one double and four runs-batted-in. On the season, she is currently hitting .299, with 20 hits, two homers, 16 RBIs and nine runs scored.

The Bulldogs currently sit (insert current record), and will need a strong run to have a shot at the post-season.
