Marijuana com­plaint in Lot 47

On Jan. 18 at 2 a.m., there was a report of a sus­pi­cious vehi­cle in Lot 47. An inves­ti­ga­tion revealed three peo­ple smok­ing mar­i­juana, and the sub­jects were referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Stolen laun­dry bin

On Jan. 14 at 11:15 a.m., there was a report of a laun­dry bin stolen from East Campus Suites. The prop­erty was recov­ered, and one sub­ject was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Suspicious sit­u­a­tion at ECS

On Jan. 18 at 10:30 a.m., there was a report of a sus­pi­cious sit­u­a­tion at East Campus Suites. A female report­edly screamed before get­ting into a vehi­cle that then drove off. A wit­ness believed the female was being abducted. The two sub­jects involved were iden­ti­fied and apol­o­gized for their horse­play that caused a disturbance.

Fight at the Sports Complex

On Jan. 20 at 1 a.m., there was a report of dis­or­derly con­duct at an event in the multi-purpose room at the Sports Complex. Officers shut the event down due to
fighting.

Car vs. deer

On Jan. 19 at 9:45 a.m., there was a report of a car-deer acci­dent on Knollview Drive.

Theft from the Market

On Jan. 21 at 10:25 a.m. there was a report of stolen prop­erty from the Market, Ferris’ on-campus con­ve­nience store. The theft occurred on Jan. 19 at 2:45 p.m. A sus­pect has been iden­ti­fied and a war­rant request has been sent to the prosecutor’s office.

Glass panel bro­ken at Rankin

On Jan. 12 at 7:20 p.m., there was a report of a glass panel bro­ken in the con­ces­sion stand at the Rankin Center. Anyone with infor­ma­tion is asked to con­tact DPS.

Disorderly sub­jects at Travis

On Jan. 21 at 2:15 a.m., offi­cers assisted Travis Hall staff with dis­or­derly sub­jects. Two sub­jects were referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Ticket totals: From Jan. 15 through Jan. 22, the Department of Public Safety reported 318 total vio­la­tors. Each vio­la­tor was tick­eted for a total of $5,290. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided or reduced.
