Festival of Cultures brings some spice to Big Rapids

Music, aro­mas of for­eign foods and peo­ple of all dif­fer­ent skin col­ors filled the IRC Connector for the 24th Annual International Festival of Cultures.

The fes­ti­val pro­vides an oppor­tu­nity for Ferris’ inter­na­tional stu­dents to share their cul­ture with other stu­dents and the Big Rapids community.

Dozens of booths were set up in the IRC; each rep­re­sented a dif­fer­ent coun­try and offered the nation’s cui­sine. Ferris stu­dents received two free tick­ets for food sam­pling, while non-students could pur­chase tick­ets for 50 cents each. (more…)

A Season to Remember

Bulldogs fall to BC in title game, season will go down in history

This year’s Bulldog team ends their sea­son as one of two teams who lasted until the NCAA Division I title game. Though the Bulldogs will have to set­tle as runner-ups.

Bulldogs refuse to give in: minds set on national title

Of the 58 NCAA Division I men’s hockey pro­grams in the nation, Ferris State University and Boston College are the only hockey pro­grams left com­pet­ing in the nation.

On April 7 at 7 p.m. each team will take the cen­ter of the ice with one goal in mind: win a national title. (more…)

The Bulldogs will stay in Tampa, Fl. until April 7 for their first-ever NCAA Division I National Championship title game.

The Bulldogs walked onto their home field for their last home series of the spring sea­son April 21–22.

Ferris State University began a five game win­ning streak in Midland, Mich. against Northwood University.

Ferris claimed a sweep over the Northwood Timberwolves April 18. The Bulldogs defeated Northwood 6–3 in the first game of the series. Ferris then closed the day with a 13–5 vic­tory over the Timberwolves. (more…)
