Roommate dis­pute

On Nov. 26 at 11 p.m., offi­cers responded to a room­mate dis­pute in Cramer Hall. The sit­u­a­tion was referred to hall staff.

Student arrested for larceny

On Nov. 26 at 5:20 p.m., a stu­dent liv­ing in Clark Hall was arrested for lar­ceny on a war­rant issued by the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Department.

Ring stolen

On Nov. 26 at 1:20 p.m., there was a report of a ring stolen in FLITE. The ring had been left in the bath­room for a short period of time, and when the owner returned to claim it, the ring was gone.

Drunk dri­ver

On Nov. 25 at 3:30 a.m., offi­cers stopped a vehi­cle for dri­ving in the Holiday Inn park­ing lot. The dri­ver was found to be intox­i­cated and lodged in the county jail.

Two-car acci­dent

On Nov. 21 at 6:20 a.m., offi­cers assisted the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Department with a two-car per­sonal injury acci­dent on McKinely Road, west of 160th. Minor injuries were sus­tained in the crash, and one dri­ver was tick­eted for vio­la­tion of the basic speed law.

Theft in Cramer

On Nov. 19 at 7:30 a.m., there was a report of prop­erty stolen in Cramer Hall. The vic­tim reported a cell phone and a PS3 as stolen some­time dur­ing the pre­vi­ous day.

Suspended license

On Nov. 21 at 1:40 p.m., offi­cers stopped a vehi­cle with expired plates in the optom­e­try park­ing lot. The dri­ver was tick­eted for dri­ving with a sus­pended license.

Disorderly sub­jects

On Nov. 21 at 2:40 a.m., there was a report of dis­or­derly sub­jects in West Campus Apartments. The sub­jects were con­tacted and agreed to stop caus­ing a disturbance.

Laptop stolen

On Nov. 19 at 11:50 p.m., there was a report of a lap­top stolen from the Merrill-Travis Hall lobby. The vic­tim left the back­pack con­tain­ing the lap­top in the lobby for a short time. Upon return­ing, the lap­top was gone.

Stolen bike

On Nov. 21 at 11:30 a.m., there was a report of a bike stolen from the rack out­side of FLITE.

Hit and run

On Nov. 19 at 11:45 a.m., there was a report of a hit and run in Lot 1. The victim’s parked car was dam­aged on the rear dri­ver side’s quar­ter panel.

Ticket totals: From Nov. 21 to Nov. 27, the Department of Public Safety iden­ti­fied 234 vio­la­tors. Each vio­la­tor was tick­eted for a total of $3,750. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided or reduced.
