NCAA Regional Semifinals vs Denver

Ferris State University Bulldogs defeated the Pioneers of the University of Denver 2–1 in semi­fi­nal round of the NCAA Midwest Regional in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Bulldogs got on the first goal 4:30 into the sec­ond period, thanks to a goal by Jordie Johnson with assists to Garrett Thompson and Matthew Kirzinger. FSU added to that lead by scor­ing again in the third period with Simon Denis mak­ing his first career goal with assists to Eric Alexander and Cory Kane.

The Pioneers responded two and a half min­utes later, mak­ing it a 2–1 game which Ferris State held onto for the remain­der of the game.

The Bulldogs will con­tinue on their Road to the Frozen Four in Tampa, Florida by play­ing in the Midwest Regional Finals against the win­ner of the Michigan and Cornell game. For updates of Saturday’s game, be sure to fol­low Ferris State Torch on Facebook and Twitter.
