Bulldog senior guard/forward Lindsey Pettit was selected as this issue’s “Athlete of the Week” following an outstanding performance against Hillsdale College (Feb. 22). In FSU’s final regular-season home game, Pettit led the Bulldogs with 13 points as FSU defeated Hillsdale 61–51 to earn the GLIAC victory. The contest marked Pettit’s first start of the season as she helped the Bulldogs to the “Senior Night” win. Following Wednesday’s win over the Chargers as well as Saturday’s 46–44 victory over Grand Valley State University, FSU finished regular-season play with a 20–5 overall mark and a 17–2 conference record.

This season Pettit has appeared in 25 games for the Bulldogs. She is currently averaging 4.2 points per game and has scored a total of 105 points this campaign.

Come watch Pettit and the rest of the FSU women’s basketball team Feb. 29 as the Bulldogs host the University of Findlay in the GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. inside Jim Wink Arena.
