Bomb Threat on Campus

Ferris State University Public Safety offi­cials are inves­ti­gat­ing a “non-specific” bomb threat phone mes­sage that was received after 8 a.m. this morn­ing (Thursday, Jan. 12) in the Business Office in the Timme Center for Student Services.

There were no spe­cific infor­ma­tion in the mes­sage as to time or loca­tion of the bomb threat. Also, there is no rea­son to believe that the threat is tied to any spe­cific event or circumstance.

Public Safety per­son­nel are inves­ti­gat­ing as well as con­duct­ing build­ing searches across cam­pus. Faculty, staff and stu­dents are directed to report any sus­pi­cious activ­ity imme­di­ately to Public Safety at (231) 591‑5000.
