Flash Mob

by Published: Apr 29, 2011

As finals started to get into full swing, a few students decided to get the party started early and attempt to start a rave/flash mob in the library. Word spread around Facebook quickly and by the start of the event over 950 people were “attending”. The rave/flash mob caught so much attention early that by the time the event was supposed to happen, DPS and extra crowd control were already lining the library, checking bags for speakers and other potential disruptive materials. Hypnotist Sailesh

by Published: Apr 29, 2011

Entertainment Unlimited’s last event of the year ended with a bang, literally. As students rushed to be onstage and be hypnotized by Sailesh Jiawan, who has been dubbed by MTV Europe as the “Best hypnotist on the planet”. Sailesh quickly had the crowed laughing with his “R-rated” show, taking hypnotism to a much dirtier level than other hypnotists in the past. Volunteers performed in raunchy acts to an enthused crowd. (more…)

Write Your Story

Don’t waste away your time in college

by Published: Apr 27, 2011

If I could give one piece of advice as I leave Ferris, it would be to get off your butt.

What I mean by that is while the occasional quiet night at home is nice, but do not make a habit out of it. So log out of World of Warcraft, put down the pipe, get off of Facebook and stop watching Netflix. (more…)

The concert that is considered by most to be the biggest Ferris State University event of the year was moved into Wink Arena this year due to inclement weather. The arena drew in a crowd so large that maximum capacity was reached, and they had to begin turning people away. (more…)

Behind all the glamour and glitz in the fashion industry, there is always a science and unique business opportunity present in every sale.

Alex Lorenz, a sophomore in the public relations program, had an interesting internship opportunity that sparked a passion within her to create the Student Fashion Alliance, a fashion registered student organization on campus. (more…)
