Keenan Named Division II Player of the Year

by Published: Mar 30, 2011

From the preseason to the post-season, Bulldog senior center Justin Keenan was the best  player in Division II college basketball.

After being named the Division II Bulletin Preseason National Player of the Year, Keenan took home the Division II Bulletin National Player of the Year award on March 28.

In the first time in Ferris history, a Bulldog player claimed the National Player of the Year award for the men’s basketball program.
“This culminates Justin’s outstanding career and is a direct result of all the hard work and dedication he’s made over the last four years,” said Ferris head coach Bill Sall.

Keenan, who became the GLIAC’s all-time leading scorer this season with 2,259 career points, ranks second in Ferris history in career scoring.

Gov. Prankster

Snyder is making a joke out of the Michigan people

by Published: Mar 30, 2011

All right, Governor Rick Snyder, stop fooling around. This is a prank, right? This is some hoax you and Ashton Kutcher came up with for the biggest “Punk’d” moment of all time, right?

Nope. We’re doomed. Snyder is shafting Michiganders. His plan? Privatizing prisons, screwing democracy, dumbing down the people of Michigan, reaping benefits from the poor, and investing that money into corporations. (more…)

January Jams replacement concert hopes to electrify students

by Published: Mar 30, 2011

After months of hard work and dedication, the Music Industry Management Association will finally present FSU with its first ever electronic music concert.

MIMA has been collaborating with other registered student organizations since the middle of November to make this concert a possibility at Ferris. Besides holding formal meetings to get financing and approval for the event, the group also had to get sponsors and do all the promotion. Over 100 volunteers have helped the nine students who originally began working to make this concert a reality. (more…)
