The Ferris Community Summer Band will per­form two con­certs this week, mark­ing the third and fourth con­certs in the annual Big Rapids Band Shell Summer Concert Series.

The first con­cert will take place June 23 at 7 p.m. at the Big Rapids Band Shell in Hemlock Park. It will have Red Hot Chicago hot dogs and refresh­ments pro­vided by Pepper’s Deli and Cafe and admis­sion is free. The sec­ond con­cert will take place June 24 at 7 p.m. in Centennial Park. (more…)

Nothing says sum­mer more than the feel­ing of sand between your toes and the sound of water lap­ping on the beach.

As sum­mer begins, many stu­dents find hours of extra time on their hands. A great way to spend their newly-acquired free time is with a trip to a Michigan beach. (more…)

As I fin­ish my junior year of col­lege and get ready to enter my final year of school, I enter a phase of uncer­tainty and ner­vous excite­ment as my time at Ferris ticks away.

With all the heavy study­ing and quick meals, a num­ber of first-year stu­dents fall vic­tim to the fresh­man fifteen.
