Republican can­di­date Rick Snyder has been elected as the new gov­er­nor of Michigan.

Snyder will take Jennifer Granholm’s seat, mak­ing him state’s the 48th Governor. Snyder pre­vi­ously served as CEO and Chairman of Gateway, Inc. before becom­ing the newest of Governor of Michigan. The Lieutenant Governor is Brian Calley.
