Ferris Coaches Close to Home

Of the 10 coaches in the var­sity sports at Ferris State, nine of them are from Michigan.

The lin­eage of Ferris coaches has always had local ties and the cur­rent group is no excep­tion. Three of the nine coaches from Michigan even attended Ferris for their sec­ondary edu­ca­tion. They are from all dif­fer­ent parts of the state, from Sault Ste. Marie to Ypsilanti. (more…)

Disc golf is a popular summer activity with college students

As sum­mer is upon us, col­lege stu­dents on a tight bud­get are turn­ing to disc golf for sum­mer fun.

Students in Big Rapids can travel a short dis­tance to the Northend Riverside Park, which includes an 18-hole disc golf course. The course is free to any­one who wants to play and the only cost is the disc itself, which ranges from $8 to $20. (more…)
