A Round-Up of This Week’s Crime on the FSU Campus

Wires Cut

On April 19 at 11 a.m., a sub­ject noticed that their vehicle’s trans­mis­sion wires were cut in Lot 47. Investigation con­tin­ues. No suspects.

Traffic Stop

On April 22 at 2:20 a.m., offi­cers con­ducted a traf­fic stop near Travis Circle. Investigation revealed a small amount of mar­i­juana. Matters referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Threat Complaint

On April 20 at 5:56 a.m., offi­cers were called on a threat com­plaint. The sub­ject was hav­ing prob­lems with other peo­ple at a local busi­ness. Matters referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Marijuana Complaint

On April 19, offi­cers were dis­patched to Clark Hall. Investigation revealed a minor amount of mar­i­juana. The sub­ject was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Assault Complaint

On April 19 at 3:55 p.m., offi­cers were called to Bond Hall in ref­er­ence to an assault com­plaint. Officers made con­tact with both sub­jects after a small foot pur­suit from the sus­pect. The sus­pect was arrested.

Suspicious Smell

On April 17 at 4:50 p.m., offi­cers were called to Finch Court. Investigation revealed mar­i­juana residue. The sub­ject was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

OWI

On April 18 at 3:33 a.m., offi­cers per­formed a traf­fic stop on Knollview Drive for a traf­fic vio­la­tion. Investigation revealed the sub­ject was Operating While Intoxicated (OWI). Subject was lodged in the county jail.

Damaged Vehicle

On April 15, offi­cers dis­patched to the West Campus Community Center to a dam­aged vehi­cle. The vic­tim noticed her pas­sen­ger side win­dow was dam­aged. No suspects.

Car on Fire

On April 15, offi­cers dis­patched to Lot 16 to a vehi­cle that was on fire. The vehi­cle had been parked and the fire left the vehi­cle a total loss. The vehi­cle is being inves­ti­gated by the fire department.

Suspicious Male

On April 15, offi­cers were called to the Student Recreational Center for a male sub­ject observed walk­ing through the women’s locker room. The sub­ject advised that he was tak­ing a short cut. The sub­ject was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Ticket Totals

From April 16 through the 22, the Department of Public Safety iden­ti­fied 362 vio­la­tors. Each vio­la­tor was tick­eted for a total of $6,150. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided, or reduced.
