Women’s basketball team nears end of difficult season

The Bulldogs will miss the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) tour­na­ment for the first time in 11 seasons.

Ferris, which is 6–19 over­all and 5–15 in con­fer­ence play, was elim­i­nated from receiv­ing a berth in the GLIAC tour­na­ment fol­low­ing a loss against Lake Superior State on Feb. 20, cou­pled with a win by Northwood University. (more…)

Randel boasts breakout year in his second season at Ferris

Senior Austin Randel is a mar­ket­ing major who leaves it all out on the bas­ket­ball court.

This is Randel’s sec­ond year with the Bulldogs and he aver­ages 11 points per game. His efforts helped Ferris to a 14–11 over­all record this sea­son. Head bas­ket­ball coach Bill Sall has noticed the con­tri­bu­tions Randel has made to his team. (more…)

Student Groups Help Haiti

Students can travel on a budget over spring break without sacrificing fun

Spring break is fast approach­ing and stu­dents are decid­ing if and where they will be head­ing for vacation.

Students’ selec­tions can be deter­mined based on whether they want and then decide if they want to drive, fly, or take a train to that des­ti­na­tion. But, that’s only part of the trip as there are many options for shel­ter such as a hotel, resort, or beach house. All for a price, of course.

The 14th-ranked Bulldogs are head­ing into a mon­u­men­tal series with Michigan State this week­end that has league-standing implications.

After a 2–1 win against Lake Superior State on Saturday, Ferris moved into a tie with the Spartans for sec­ond place in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA), as both teams have 43 league points head­ing into this weekend’s home-and-home series. (more…)
